Saturday, December 26, 2015

Wednesday sketch at The Outlawz. I needed to step away from Christmas when I did this. And since it is more like late spring in Pennsylvania then winter, I thought sunflowers were appropriate. All of the elements on the card were stickers that I colored with copics. The ribbon is wrapped around the card with the fourth sunflower placed on top.

Fat Snowman

The color challenge at The Outlawz this week gave an option of 5 colors. The three I chose to use were Robin Red, Pure Gold, and Green Glow. The twist was that you needed to include a snowman or snow on your card. I do love this fat snowman and have been using him a lot lately.

Another Northwoods image I have been playing with. These will be birthday cards for this year.

Crazy Bird Birthday

The Paper Ala Mode challenge at The Outlawz this past week was "Anything Goes".  I decided to play with a technique that a friend had shared. The background is made on a cereal box in which paint was lightly applied with your fingers. You then stamped onto the first layer. Finally, paper from sewing patterns and music were added. I went one step further and stenciled the alphabet on using texture paste. The birds, of course, are from Tim Holtz. I love these crazy birds!

More Backgrounds

This back used bubble wrap and ink.
On this background we painted a paper towel with patterned texture with acrylic paint and then transferred the paint to the cardstock. I used all neon paints with black cardstock. The butterflies are fabric.

The Monday Greeting challenge at The Outlawz this week was "Anything Goes". The image is from Penny Black and the letters are from Prima.

Thursday, December 3, 2015

This past month at Stamp Club we did a variety of backgrounds. This one used masking tape that you picked up ink with and then placed the ink on the cardstock. I used two colors of archival ink to do my card.

This background used Prima chalk edgers that were placed on plastic wrap. The plastic wrap was then spritzed with water and then dabbed onto the cardstock.
